The Band
The Groove-o-matic is the finest, most experienced professional wedding/corporate dance band in the Margaret River region. With a glowing reputation for providing excellent entertainment for all kinds of functions, the band have developed a broad repertoire of carefully chosen material designed to suit any occasion. Our wealth of experience proves invaluable in the smooth running of your evening’s entertainment.
Style
The Groove-o-matic cover many of the popular classic hits, and they are an excellent dance band to suit every ones entertainment needs, young and old. With a diverse repertoire includes Contemporary Pop Rock, Motown, Groove, Soul, Funk, Classic Rock, JAZZ, Swing, Reggae, and rhythm and blues. The band will often arrange the songs, to feel of the evening and guests requests. Couple that experience with one of the tightest bands around and you have a recipe for a night to remember. The repertoire, which is constantly growing, can be tailored to meet your needs for your individual occasion. We have a professional attitude, are reliable and sensitive to audience requests. The band is always well presented and conducts themselves in a professional manner.
Margaret River Region Wedding Reception
We have a competitive fee structure and negotiable terms. The current fee to engage the Groove-o-matic’s services for a southwest function is $2,050.00 which includes 3 x 50 minute sets spanning a 3 hour period.
We can also perform an extra 50 minute pre-dinner/cocktail set of Jazz and easy listening groove, for an additional fee of $400.00 as noted below. The band will arrive, set up and sound check prior to your guests arriving and a wireless handheld microphone, PA and iPod will be made available for speeches and background music. You may even wish to have an iPod programmed with your background and dance music you want played during our breaks and the band can simply connect it to the sound system.
All sound activated LED and Laser effect lights, wireless mic and sound system are included.
Margaret River Region Wedding Ceremony
We arrive and set up one hour prior to guests arriving, guests usually arrive 30 min before the ceremony. We play during those 30 min then play your bridal march then stop during the ceremony. We play a song for your signing of the certificate, then once the celebrant has pronounced you Husband and Wife, we play uplifting happy love songs for you both and your family and guests for 30 min to one hour depending on your timings. We can play for longer if required.
Extra DJ Service
We can also provide an extra musical service for those who wish to celebrate on into the night. Paul can DJ and mix up the dance tunes to your requirements after the band concludes. This service can be arranged and quoted upon request to best suit your needs and duration.
Bookings
To avoid disappointment it is preferable to book the band at least 6-9 mths prior to your function. However if your function is in the peak times you may need to secure your date 9-12mths prior. We do require a $300.00 deposit to secure our services for your special day. We look forward to your enquires.
