RAC Margaret River Nature Park is located in a tranquil forest setting in the middle of the Wooditjup National Park, there are several spectacular locations at the property which provide the perfect setting for you both to say “I Do”. You can choose from the large grassed area, the Wharncliff Mill, the Amphitheather or the surrounding forest all of which provide a naturally rustic backdrop.
Whether you’re looking for a traditional sit down, cocktail, communal feast or gourmet BBQ. You can BYO food and beverage to suit your style of event. We have compiled a list of recommended suppliers however, you are welcome to arrange your own contractors for decorations and or catering. Our large camp kitchen is fully equipped and adjacent to The Mill. Even food trucks are welcome on the premises to create a vibrant market hall feel to your wedding day.
The Wharncliffe Saw Mill that was constructed in 1967. This Mill was opened by the Forests Department of Western Australia and was in operation for 14 years, producing sawn-pine from local materials with the timber being primarily used in the construction of packing boxes and crates. In the mill’s later years, it was leased to a private saw milling company before closure in 1982.
Today, the historic Wharncliffe Mill building offers a great undercover and function space for your special occasion. The round chimney is the only remnant of the original Mill, which is also one of the last examples of curved chimneys in Western Australia.
The Wharncliffe Mill can cater for all types of weddings, from large seated weddings with a large dance floor to smaller cocktail functions. RAC Margaret River Nature Park is 280kms (3 hour drive) south of Perth and a short 2kms north of the Margaret River town centre. South West Coach lines operates daily between Margaret River and Perth.
We can accommodate up to 140 guests in bedded accommodation, as well as up to 100 on caravan & camping sites. We provide exclusive use of the entire venue and accommodation for weddings, with a minimum of 2 nights stay applicable.
