Add some sparkle

It’s only called Champagne when it is from that particular region in France.  Oh but it’s not just the French who make delicious wines with bubbles!  The sparkling wines that are produced in Western Australia’s south west are among the worlds best!   Toast your celebration with some of the finest sparkling you’ll find anywhere and certainly worthy of adding a sparkle to your celebration.
MRBG_Sparkling_howardpark3The fabulous bubbles are formed with an initial burst of effervescence  when the sparkling wine contacts the glass on pouring.  The champagne Flute was developed in the early 1700’s as the preferred shape for sparkling wine when materials for drinking vessels shifted from metal and ceramic to glassware. While the Coupe, a shallow dish shaped glass on a fine stem, as legend has it, was modelled on the breast of Madame de Pompadour, chief-mistress of King Louis XV of France.  Take a peek at the series, Versailles.

Sipping your sparkling from the perfect glass is the next step, select from Bohemia Czech Crystal Bedford Champagne flutes and Bormioli Italian Flutes in a variety of shapes from South West Event Studio, to fine clear crystal glassware from Wonderland Tents and Events, a selection of crystal and glass from South West Events – or unique European tinted and cut glassware from Turquoise Table .  Take a closer look here.

The award ceremony, held at London’s Vintner Hall, was attended by the Howard Park chief wine maker Janice McDonald who said the win was incredibly satisfying.  “There is some tough competition in the Australian Sparkling space so it really is an honour to have won the trophy tonight, and as a Western Australian winery, not famed for their sparkling, it is a fantastic achievement”.   “We believe we’re at the beginning of something very special and our recent international accolades affirm this for us.”  Janice said.    Source: Your Margaret River RegionTurquoise Table, sparkling wine packages
