Tracey Finney, Bespoke Wedding Flowers
…may have been born into floristry, as she describes her love of flowers as a child growing up in a leafy English village, where neighbours grew prize sweetpeas, roses and chrysanthemums. With both Grandfathers being keen gardeners, it may have been a sign of things to come.
Her mother worked in a florist and when Tracey was old enough to get a ‘Saturday Job’ she jumped at the opportunity to work with her mum! When she left school Tracey began working in a flower shop and began her apprenticeship working alongside a large team of professionals. Tracey thrived in this environment and was encouraged to compete in many competitions, the highlight a gold medal for a wedding bouquet constructed of mainly foliages which is trending again at the moment.
Where would we find you when you’re not at work?
When I am not knee deep in flowers in the studio I like nothing better to sit and relax with a glass of wine and catch up with friends.
Your go to place for coffee?
Always Hot Chocolatte Dunsborough.
These images are from the wedding of Emma & Nick, we asked Emma about the brief she gave Tracey for her wedding day and her experience with Bespoke Wedding Flowers
”Relaxed, bohemian, simple but stylish. I wanted LOTS of flowers and asked for white, with lots of greenery. I was not fussed with what specific type of blooms and foliages, only arrangements to be unstructured and for them to be the main element for the styling of the venue. Tracey told me she had a ‘vision’ – and I trusted her from the outset. She delivered above and beyond my expectations. I was blown away by every single arrangement, and the the styling of them. She is so talented and committed. I absolutely loved the peeks she sent me prior to the big day, and on the day while she was setting up. When the bridal bouquets were delivered – wow – I was speechless. I feel like it needs to be mentioned here that on the day of my wedding there was torrential rain, all day, it literally stopped when I was walking down the aisle. And Tracey spent the entire day running around styling the flowers – getting soaked to the skin and the end result was perfection”
