Andrea Frances teams up with the South West’s most experienced and skilled guitar maestro, Kevin McDonald, to deliver exquisite and personal music for your wedding day.
I have been singing professionally for over 20 years throughout the South West of Western Australia, on the Perth music scene and over to the UK, Brazil and even Africa. I studied folk music and A Capella harmonies through high school, musical Theatre at the WA Academy of Performing Arts and trained intensely under the tutelage of Rae Helen Fisenden for over 6 years. Through the Australian Music Examinations Board I completed my Grade 8 then Certificate of Performance in Singing for Leisure.
My training and song genres include contemporary, folk, musical theatre, classical, jazz, gospel, country, soul, samba, and bossa nova. Significant vocal influences are Eva Cassidy, Brooke Fraser, Patty Griffin, Dolly Parton, Ella Fitzgerald and Audrey Assad. I have performed at events such as Telethon, WA’s the Next Big Thing Grand Finale, large Christmas carol concerts, album launches, many weddings, funerals, festivals, restaurants, bars and cafes.
In 2014 I released my original alternative folk-pop album PARADOXOS which is available on iTunes alongside my 2016 single 21 Lions. My original songs have been played on both state and national radio.
Now based out of the Margaret River area, I am available and excited to hear about your musical vision for your unique wedding or event. I have three richly talented guitarists that I partner with according to the ‘song feel’ you want; each musician brings their signature style to the music making.
