Cavaney Couture is owned and operated by Fiona Cavaney and based in Dunsborough, Western Australia. Fiona is professionally trained at Bentley TAFE and has been working in the Fashion industry in Western Australia for 12 years, and running her couture dressmaking and design business in Dunsborough for 8 years. Prior to working in the fashion industry Fiona completed a degree in BSc majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UWA and worked in scientific research for 7 years. Fiona has sewn since she was at least 8 years old and has been sewing for 32 years.
Fiona designs individual and unique wedding and evening gowns for each client, perfecting the fit and flattering the figure of each beautiful bride she has the honour of making a wedding dress for. Having a Made to Measure gown is like no other – it is perfectly fitted for your unique body shape, and Fiona is happy to accommodate unique and individual touches to the gown that each bride likes to add to make it her own gown.
Alternatively if you have already bought your wedding, bridesmaid or evening dress, Fiona offers Bridal and Wedding dressmaking services and is happy to alter the gown to fit and flatter your figure perfectly. Fiona can alter the garments for the entire wedding party – from tailoring the hems and jacket cuffs for the groom and groomsmen, altering the Mother and/or Mother of the Bride dresses or hemming, taking in or letting out Wedding dresses or Bridesmaid dresses. Fiona will try to help out and work her magic if you have a wedding emergency as well….for example if one of the grooms didn’t get his trousers hemmed, or if the bride changes her mind on her shoes, or if a bride or bridesmaid is pregnant and doesn’t fit into her dress, or if the dressmaker in Perth forgot to sew the bustle on….all of these emergencies and more Fiona has come to the rescue for in the past.
